Income Tax

Rates 2011-2012

  • Basic Rate 20% up to £35,000
  • 40% Rate £35,000.01 to £150,000
  • 50% Rate over £150,000

PAYE Thresholds:

  • Tax becomes payable after:
    • £143.75 weekly £622.92 monthly

Rates 2010-2011 

  • Basic Rate 20% up to £37,400
  • 40% Rate £37,400.01 to £150,000
  • 50% Rate Over £150,000

Additional Passenger Rate

You can also pay up to 5p per mile free of tax and NICs for each employee who travels as a passenger on a business journey.
