About Community Accountancy Service
Community Accountancy Service Ltd was first established in 1991 as a not for profit company providing accountancy and related services to the voluntary and community sector in the North West. The company supported and complimented the services of a registered charity offering services to the voluntary sector in Manchester.
As an early Social Enterprise, the company aimed to develop a sustainable structure that could grow alongside the expanding third sector and began to also offer advice and support to small businesses and sole traders.
Following radical changes to local funding in 2005/6 the registered charity was unable to continue the level of support that was previously offered to Manchester groups. The company took over much of this role and we pride ourselves on our continued support to Charities and Social Enterprises.

We invest in the continuing professional development of our staff and we are a registered training practice, training accountants up to practising certificate level, with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
